It was early morning and everything in Wonderland seemed fresh and clean. There was the soft scent of morning dew and the grass glistened with it. In the small clearing where a table sat filled with tea cups, kettles, sugar cookies, and many other things and trinkets. There were also mismatching chairs all around the table. The one's at the ends seemed to be larger though. Sitting in a large chair with pink fabric at the right far end of the table was a man. A hat was tilted over his eyes and his feet rested up on the rather low table. In his right hand he held a cup of tea that slightly rested on his right knee cap. His clothing was rather on the dark side this morning. Maybe because he was a little grumpy. He wore dark black slacks with a purple button-up top that was visible because of his coat, which was not only too small for him, but it was un-buttoned as well. Nice black shoes were on his feet and long striped purple socks could be seen where his slacks and shoes did't meet. Even his hat matched with a purple ribbon tied around it. Finally he looked up at the sky revealing his golden brown and blue eye. He squinted slightly and frowned. Wonderland had been so borning lately. Nobody seemed to be around or stumbling through the rabbit hole. That meant no one to bother. "Ah, curses," he grumbled tossing his cup of tea onto the table. "Is there ever any fun anymore." He crossed his arms and stuck his lower lip out dissapointedly. Maybe fun was coming his way....

Queen smiled faintly to himself, coming upon the tea party with only a slight amount of surprise, because really now, who else but the Hatter would be dining when he stopped by? Dressed opulently in a tailored frock coat colored in a deep red, high-laced boots, and the customary ninety pounds of jewelry, Queen could hardly consider himself underdressed for tea -- why, just look at the Hatter! he thought breezily, instinctively smothering a delicate giggle from behind his hand.
“Have you room for one more?” he called from behind the house’s gate, offhandedly noting the March Hare’s absence. How odd that the Hatter would be by himself for tea; Queen’s eyes flickered brightly in a subtle show of amusement for the span of a half-second. “Are you well? It’s unlike you to dine alone,” he murmured, his tone teasing although his face was completely blank. It might have been a side-effect of having run away from court this morning, but he kept himself in Sovereign Mode, only allowing the nuances of his voice to hint to his current mode.

The Hatter's soft yet cool gaze fell slowly from the sky as he heard a voice come his way. Before his eyes met the Queen's rather colorless gaze a smirked graced his features. His hat slide down his forhead slightly as he straightened his neck to look forward at the Heart Queen. His eyes suddenly full of entertainment and the pleasure of having someone finally stumble across his clearing. For a while there he had thought he would be stuck with no fun at all. But now he knew that the Queen would definetly prove to show him a good time. "I always have room," he spoke with a widening grin. "You of all people should know that by now." He dropped his feet from the table and let them landed on the ground with a soft thud. He put one elbow on the table and rested his chin lightly on it as he leaned forward using his other hand to push his cup of tea further away from him. The grin remained as he stared at the Queen. "Funny you should ask of my well being, but.. actually, I've been in a rather dull mood lately," he said with a dramatic frown. "But enough about me. Come and have some tea and tell me how you have been."

The first thing Cheshire noticed was the deep red fabric that she noticed as she stared at the bright clearing in contrast to the shadowed forest. It was a sign that a particular character had decided to join the Hatter for a morning of tea. She dematerialized from her boots up, looking to March with a wink from the corner of her eye. For some reason she wasn't allowed to materialize on the Queen's grounds since the Alice incident (Gee, I wonder why) and thus visiting the Queen was limited to his visits outside of his castle, since she couldn't very well get past the card guards unscathed without use of dematerializing. She faintly wondered how Queen had gotten hold of a spell that could keep her out. "I'm tickled pink to see you again, my liege." There wasn't a hint of sarcasm in her voice, which betrayed the ever present smirk planted on her lips. This was said before she chose to materialize face first, quite slowly might I add, in a leaning position against Hatter's chair- both hands clasped behind.

"YO HATTER!!!" the march hare said as he gave his usual greeting to his friend and fellow Gangster "Oh, I see we have company "Sup Queenie?" he laughed as he said his little joke and poured two glasses of tea and after putting four lumps in his cup he sat down and brought out a cake "It's my un-birthday today!"

Queen clicked his tongue, chancing only a few steps forward before allowing himself a coy grin aimed at Leah. However inhibited he felt around most of the occupants of Wonderland, all reservations were put aside in favor of returning the entertained look… he figured he could afford just a little bit of freedom today.
“Don’t give me that ‘tell me how you’ve been,’ business, Hatter -- neither you or your hare friend have come to visit and I demand to know why.” A giggle, dangerous and low. “Dull? Well now, I very well can’t have that… Can I help in any way?”
He might have come closer -- and that was his main objective, as he had every intention of pulling out all the stops in an attempt to make him uncomfortable (his hands were already at the ribbon of his cravat) -- but the advent of another voice caused him to freeze up instinctually. Swiveling around on his heel, Queen slammed his emergency brakes on and assumed his blank "canvas" façade, meeting Cheshire’s eyes with an inocuous eyebrow quirk.
"I'm tickled pink to see you again, my liege," she said, that insufferably insolent smile plastered on her face as she phased into his periphery. Returning the very same double-meaning smile, the Heart Queen took a moment to consider the words he'd use in his reply, not wanting to ruin the neutral atmosphere.
“I’m sure, Cheshire.” His eyes switched to rest on the March Hare, whom he greeted with a singular nod. “Hare."

Before the Hatter could reply with a smooth 'I'm sure you could' another voice had decided to interrupt him. He felt a slight tinge of dissapointment since he had been rather curious as to wear he and the Queen's little conversation was about to lead. Oh well. Another day and another time. But he did manage to keep on a soft grin as the Cheshire Cat and his friend the March Hare appeared. Yes, the two had spoiled his fun, but at least they could probably start up some more. For the most part the Hatter remained silent and let his chin slide off of his hand and his cheek lean into his palm instead. The Hare had made himself comfortable and the Cheshire was already next to him leaning against his chair. He gave a grin at the Hare's words. "Well, my friend, happy un'birthday to you," he said drawing out the words a bit. "You should have told me sooner. Then we could have had some fun today. I suppose the Cheshire had you busy?" He let his gaze lazily stare back at the Cheshire with his eyes still dancing with amusement. Then, as they traveled back towards the Hare, he momentarily looked over the Queen. Sometimes that boy had him wondering about his own sexual orientation. But those thoughts soon slipped away as he looked back at the Hare. A large grin slowly spreading across his features. Un-birthdays were always so pleasant and always managed to put him in a more excitable mood.

The ace of diamonds was pasting by. "Did I hear something of an un-birthday? Who's un-birthday is it?" She peeped her head around the corner. She then saw everyone Mad Hatter, The Queen of Hearts, The Cheshire Cat , and The March Hare. She curtsied to the queen. It was just polite. She smiled her white smile. Her diamond earring gleamed in the light.

Queen pouted coquettishly, taking a seat at the end of the table and shifting a little to avoid the random pieces of clockwork scattered over the chair. It’d been much too long since he’d celebrated an Unbirthday with such a crowd, and with no small amount of second guessing did he simply sigh, defeated unto himself, and resolve to enjoy the day. It wouldn’t hurt.
At the sudden appearance of the Ace of Diamonds, Queen simply nodded toward her courtesy and redirected his gaze to the March Hare, pouring himself a cup of whatever it was in the teapot nearest. You just never knew with this crowd.
"March Hare... how is business?"

Cheshire plopped down in a seat with a sigh, casting a momentary glace at the newcomer before turning to the table and pulling a slice of cake her way with a grin. She's always preferred milk over tea, but really, what's a tea party without tea? She only ever made an exception when she came to one of Hatter's and Hare's un-birthday parties.
She turned to the host of the party, the Mad Hatter himself, and blinked as she dug into the cake with a small fork. "Gloomy?" She nodded to his darker choice of attire for the day, cocking her head in the strange way she always did when she pretended not to know something.

The Hatter's gaze soon returned to the Cheshire after he heard her voice ringing in his ears. He leaned back in his chair again, only leaving his feet on the ground this time, and looked himself over. Another frown graced his lips as his eyes looked back up at her. "Why yes, actually I am a little down," he said furrowing his brow sadly while shaking his head from side to side softly. "How ever could you tell." His last remark was dripping in sarcasm and finally he let a smile spread back across his light pink lips. Only a small one this time while his brow still stayed in the same scrunched position. All of this over dramatic acting had almost made him forget about the newcomer. He let his eyes momentarily go over Ace of Diamonds. Never had he really gotten the chance to get to know her. Sure he knew her and had known about her. But nothing more than that. Apparently today would be the day he would get the chance to meet her properly. Although his attention was on the Cheshire at the moment and his eyes looked back towards her as his eyebrows finally made their way back to their normal place on his forhead.

Ace giggled. The sarcasim in his voice was obvious not near as obvious as it was that she was slightly crazed but very obvious indeed. Jena her cat mewled and sat in her lap. Ace simplely put her back on the ground and patted her on the head. "It's rude to sit in people's laps." Ace said. Jena went to sit in a chair next the Cheshire cat.

March hare looked at the queen while he was eating his cake, he was trying to eat two slices at the same time but he then swallowed and said "It's all good, people love my drugs! You want some?" he offered some crack to the queen and then looked at the Mad Hatter "It'll be fine bro, remember when I had that fit about when you couldn't find my hat?"

The Heart Queen twitched and took a sip of his tea, not trusting the contents of the cake enough to try a piece just yet.
"No, I'm quite fine, thanks." The collected amount of insanity here was wonderful, wasn't it? Queen took an offhand look toward the cat that had cozied up next to Cheshire and shot a faint look of disgust toward it. Bah. Such a plain animal -- what he'd give just to smash its head in with his scepter, but then he wasn't going to waste a pretty scepter on that.... So he refrained, letting an unfamiliar coquettish smile settle just barely over his features at the Hatter's admission.
"Hatter, I'm surprised. Isn't it your unbirthday, too? Why so glum?"
Yes, he's sadistic ._.;

Jena stared up at The Queen. Shiny object most likely. Then turned at the table and meowed as if she was asking something. Then placed her paws on the table and scooted in.Ace stared at her cat not knowing that she could do that. "Meow." Jena nodded. "Yes you do look glum. Down in the dumps. Like a baby whom of whitch lost it's bottle and found it's self to be an adult who is tax clam man with no children but has a wife who will un-expectedly tell him she wants a divorce the next morning at breakfast. ...Or even posably sad. " Ace said nodding. Jena nodded. "Meow."

Leah let a out a soft laugh that could be barely heard by the human ear when he heard the Hare's comment on the time he had lost his hat. Oh what a day that had been. Never again would he loose track of that man's hat. The Hatter looked to the Queen and Ace of Diamonds when they commented on his dull and gloomy mood. A simple shrug was his reply at first along with a tiny frown. Then he blinked his eyes and tilted his head towards his left shoulder letting his hat slip down his forhead. "Why am I so gloomy?" he asked repeating the question. "Well, I suppose I am the only one who has noticed our lack of visitors in Wonderland? You see, with no visitors, I have no new company to have tea with." He frowned again and furrowed his brow sadly at all of them. Now what fun was Wonderland without any visitors? It was oh so dull without any new comers. Maybe he needed to get out more. For all he knew, there could be tons of visitors out there and he was just too lazy to get out there and look. Well, they could come to him. That was how he expected them to meet him anyways. Why should he waste his time hunting them down?

"Meow." Jena sounded sad. "Sorry. But those who get stuck are angery at everything!!!!!" "Oh that's not true not true at all." Tweedle Dee came in doing cartwheels. "Here a singing carnation to cheer you." She said.

"His... hat?" The story sounded a little too interesting to the boy glaring daggers at the cat prowling about the table, and as tempted as he was to inquire further, he held his tongue, instead nibbling on the morsel of cake he'd decided to allow himself. When nothing trippy happened, he took just a little more and finished it off, flushing with mute delight. Eee, good cake + delicious tea + eye candy = life was good.
Whether Queen had noticed the lack of newcomers or not, he didn't care to dwell on it, and allowed himself to be pacified by the Hatter's answer as he finished off his cup and prepared to rise, his fingers redoing the ribbon he'd pulled undone earlier. Nodding once to each of the guests (with the exception of the cat, whose death he'd probably call for later in the course of the day), he swivelled elegantly around on his heel and exited the clearing; there were things to be done, people to suffer through, and nonsentient cats to avoid, as far as he was concerned.

"Meow. Meow. Meow." Jena said nervously. It most likely meant why are you stareing at me oh so unpleasantly. Jena folding her napkin in her lap for no apparently reason all. Jena pointed at Tweedle Dee meowed and pointed to an empty chair. "Ooooookkkkkkaaaaaaaaayyyyyy?" Tweedle Dee said sitting down in a chair. The cat could not talk but acted strangely human-like. "Silence." Ace whispered to no one at all. For there was no more noise after this had happened. "Meow mew mea is mel?" Jena asked. Having not yet mastered many words. Odd to many people to see a cat even saying is. Since she was still learning most of her words came with an m sound.

The Hatter only watched in silence for the moment and his eyes followed the Queen as he made his leave. Then his eyes traveled back over to Tweedle Dee. That was one inhabitant in Wonderland that really bugged him sometimes. Always thinking she had to sneak about and do her silly little circus act. For some reason, the Hatter had a very difficult time swallowing her company. She was fond of sneaking up on him. And Leah was not one who appreciated being surprised. Unless it involved un-birthdays and tea. Then he could let surprises slid. But not when it scarred and crept him out of his wits. That was just over doing it in his opinion. He lifted his cup of tea to his lips again after he had stretched an arm out to get it. Then he put it down again and stared over at the cake. He really wasn't in the mood. But he could pass up an un-birthday. That would simply be rude. So he took a slice and began toying with it with his long fingers.
